REALTORS® Going Green

Supporting ‘Green’ has become a keen interest for Alberta REALTORS® as a way to help home buyers to identify environmentally-friendly properties and home sellers to environmentally enhance their property prior to sale.

Supporting ‘Green’ is also one way REALTORS® can uphold the quality of life principle, ‘preserving our environment’.

Green-Speak 101

In 2009, AREA worked with the Green Calgary Association to develop a workshop to build REALTOR® knowledge about healthy living environments and energy efficiency. ‘Green Speak 101’ was delivered to REALTORS® in six major centres across Alberta, with support from the Alberta Real Estate Foundation.
